Service of airline starts with a PNR, passenger name record, it is also called Record locator. Price of the PNR is Fare. Price is the amount to pay to purchase service or product by valued passenger. Airline promises to render service to the passenger against a purchased ticket. A Ticket is a legal document where is printed details of Fare, Fare Class, RBD *reservation booking desinator, flight number, flight date, origin, destination. fare calculation. All of these data are populated on ticket due to an coordinated and sophoiscated action of ATPCo, CRS,PSS, IATA/TTBS, E-tkt DB, OAG.
E-ticket
IATA Resolution 722f: This rule completely eliminated paper tickets. It sets the global technical standard for the modern electronic ticket (e-ticket) data system. IATA runs the Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP), ensuring ticket funds are safely and neutrally routed between travel agents and airlines.
